Library Card

Tuesday after work I took Tyler and Peyton to the Library to get Tyler's very own library card. At our house the library is a big deal. I love to read and reading is very important and special to my kids. I could spend hours in the library. So we went and Tyler was so excited to get his own card that he could check out books. He was in awe of the library. They both played on the computer while the librarians got his card ready and helped us search for a book about rockets. Tyler wanted a book about rockets. Nothing but rockets. We all discovered how hard it is to find a book on rockets for a child. Finally, Mom came to the rescue and found a book about building a rocket. The library even has a room full of pillows where the kids can climb in and hide. Peyton loved that room. When he checked out his books and I was taking his pictures I got very teary-eyed. My baby is growing up and now has his own LIBRARY card. Yes, my son is a nerd just like his mom!

911

Saturday, the kids were down for a nap and I had got up to get something from the car. Scott was laying down watching TV. While I am outside an ambulance pulls up at the house and I asked them who they were looking for. They told me they were supposed to be at my house 204 tiffany, Nelson. I told them that we did not call and the kids were asleep. He said it was a 911 hangup and they could hear someone and it sounded like they were having trouble breathing. I told them I would be right back and I went and got Scott up and Tyler was laying on the bed playing. I took him outside to talk to the ambulance men. During this time a police cruiser was at the scene, the rescue squad told them what happened and they could go on. I asked Tyler in front of the men if he had called 911 "no, the phone called it by itself" He keeps saying this. Later Scott went and got his cell phone from under Tyler's bed and checked the phone which was locked. But if you hold the pearl down it will call 911. This is what Tyler did. We did not know the phone did this. And the police station called back and we did not hear it cause it was on vibrate.

So the phone did call 911 itself. Poor Scott he gets the blame for everything. I thought he accidentally called and was snoring. I guess we are getting paid back for Scott.

Tyler hunting

Tyler went hunting this weekend with my dad. It is squirrel season so Tyler and Granddaddy got up early on Saturday and set out on their hunting trip. Tyler took our bb gun. They found nuts (squirrel food) but no squirrels. Tyler is really growing up. He is 50 pounds and growing every day. I will post some pics later.

The "Salty Dog Family" at the beach

This is our family at the beach this year. We all have the same shirts on. This one RUDE lady called us the Salty Dog Family. But it helped me keep up with everyone especially when ALL members go in opposite directions in a swarm of people.
